Maybe supporting a "President" who treats the office as his own little fiefdom, who sells pardons to wealthy scumbags, who destroys America's treasured monuments and erects hideous ones to himself, who is an adjudicated felon 34 times over, who flaunts the emoluments clause, who creates his own private Gestapo to kidnap, beat, and even kill American citizens, snatching immigrants who are in court pursuing legal status, who creates an illegal war never sanctioned by Congress, who kills innocent fishermen under the guise of national security, who has no understanding of what a "tariff" is, and who is in general amoral, narcissistic, racist, greedy, evil, and dumb as a box of hammers... maybe that wasn't the winning strategy Republicans thought it would be.

You're out, and with any luck, your party is dead, and you did it to yourselves. Good riddance.

Jan...deep breaths man...good grief. I can't fathom the unimagiable stress you have had to endure for the past 22 months while real wages have exceeded the cost of living, poverty rate lowered, income tax lowered...etc. Not good news if you're a committed liberal... Although I imagine your news sources have not shared that information with you...so there's that going for you.

FYI...it's called politics, like the climate...it always changes. I can't phantom the stress you have had to endure for the past 22 months...so enjoy the next two years. You have some really bad actors representing your politics so party down buddy...and buckle up.

America and Israel also obliterated a bunch of school-aged children. Let's not forget the atrocities that Israel and America are responsible for. “Iran will have nukes": Said by Bibi since the 1990’s.

How about we get out of the business of funding Israel's wars? Then maybe the Republicans can come back. How about Epstein files? Then maybe the Republicans can come back.

Until then, Republicans have lost the hard-working Americans that deserve truth and honesty, and not a President who promises no wars but then bends over for Bibi.

We trusted. We got screwed. We are done.

Fade's avatar

Quite possibly the dumbest post ever.

NotJo's avatar

And that's exactly why the Republicans lost. They stick their heads in the sand and think they're going to come out smarter.

Wake up. Look around.

Fade's avatar

Trump is no where in the Epstein files and the main reason they haven't been fully released is due to a combination of protecting victims rights and confusion about what the DOJ is and isn't allowed to share with the public.

Keep drinking the Hamas Kool-Aid regarding the massive numbers of children being killed by Israel and maybe after you've grown up, and your days of donning your green intifada bandanna and attacking capitalism, you'll understand just how important Israel is to democracy, and stabilization, in a region hell-bent on destruction of all western values.

Yawn. When you get out of bed I suggest you pick up a history book...preferably authored by a legitimate historian...not a university professor...and treat yourself to some reality, not an irrational emotional mantra fueled by a highly partisan and agenda oriented media.

This article reeks of sour grapes. The R’s sucked and ruined people’s lives. Instead of blaming the media (who is no innocent in all this), start looking at the deep moral rot behind the letter R. Oh- I didn’t subscribe to your newsletter and am absolutely disinterested in your breakdown. Have fun whining for the next two years.

Much better: Mitt Romney comments Nov 4

Bad policy, bad character make bad politics: erratic tariffs, impulsive Iran war, blanket pardons, apparent corruption, weaponized justice, ICE brutality, mountainous deficits, hiding Epstein, abandoning allies and coddling enemies. Hoping for a course correction, for the country and for my party."

If you don’t get the facts, the facts will get you. BTW: Katy, what are.your education creds, still waiting…

How about this quote "You can thank your local media for making this a reality, as over 90% of all the stories printed and/or covered in media outlets about the president, his administration, or his plans, were and have been negative, ...." This is unfortunately true.

I talked with a UCSB type working part time at Von's. He said he was voting Dem. because the cost of living in Calif. was too high and jobs were too hard to find. He move here from Maine. I asked him if he knew most of the high taxes were placed by Dem's controlling the State? He ducked.

Now think about the employment figures that slammed every Dem. statement how bad the economy is. Think about the new industrialization of the Nation that will take years to complete (new iron mill, new auto plants, etc.). So what are you going to tell the wet behind the ears 50,000 students (full and part time) at UCSB that vote in a block without knowing the facts?

Do you know what red boxing is? It is where non-profits that are tax write-offs have for profit businesses and investments in violation of their legal standing...are advertising their political actions and for profit businesses. Where is the press hammering this? Read 1st paragraph above.

The border issue has hammered the criminal activity in the nation. Have you seen this coming? Of course not local media never mentioned it.

Have you seen the statement by El-Sayed that it is time to jail conservatives? Yesterday. Did you see Bracera when asked hard questions about how he will head the State saying he is not a candidate and he is now the Gov. elect and he will not answer.

It will be a rocky road.

Get ready for the The Democrat Party controlled Senate to end of the 60 vote filibuster rule. Then Trump can take his veto hat and throw it in the garbage- it won’t mean anything.

Open borders, wealth redistribution, and a one party system., That's your jam, 'eh?

Buckley……are you only JUST NOW noticing the smells emanating from the White House.

Trump and his followers reek of stupidity, grossness, crimes, lack of empathy….and more….all of which STINK, as do your rhetorics.

Open your nostrils and your eyes. Wake up to the harm done by that man in the W.H. you seem to adore. The U.S. of America is a Democracy, and we the people love it that way.

Trump may be a sick man in many ways, but it is people like you who are really responsible for his position in our government. Can you forgive yourselves and join the intelligent Americans?

"Smells emanating from the White House"? Are you referring to Biden or Obama?

Don't complain about the democratic shenanigans in Alaska. The Republicans did exactly the same for the house race.

Dictatorship by whom? By Congress? The people spoke, in opposition to the authoritarian obsessed with Executive Orders, Wars economic and kinetic and redecorating Washington DC in his image. Turn your attention to legislation that enough Republicans can get behind with their Democrat partners in Congress to pass over a veto. Now that would be constructive.

"Passage of a universal basic income will spell the end of the U.S.A. as we’ve known it, and will destroy the U.S. dollar."

Richard M. Nixon advocated a universal basic income. He also "destroyed the dollar" by removing it from being linked to a finite tangible thing, gold, and basing it more on the productivity and ingenuity of the American people.

Back then Reagan was signing the nation's first abortion legalization.

Just a reminder that once upon a time Republicans weren't as craven as today's corrupt bunch of know-nothings.
