The Election Results Are Worse Than Anyone Imagined
The uneasiness many Republicans felt in the weeks leading up to the November 3rd mid-term elections metastasized into a disastrous drubbing of anyone with an R before or after his or her name on a ballot in many what once were reliable red states.
Kansas?
South Carolina?
Texas?
Mississippi?
Alaska?
Say it ain’t so, Joe.
Ah, but it is so.
And this wasn’t your ordinary, run-of-the-mill midterm setback. The election of November 3, 2026, was an event of cataclysmic proportions.
There is nothing worthwhile to say about the California election. The “Dumb and Dumber” duo of Nithya Raman and Karen Bass fought it out for mayor of Los Angeles and Raman, who is even ditzier than Bass, came out on top. Steve Hilton lost the governor’s race badly to Xavier Becerra but that was a foregone conclusion. Poor Steve always looked like he was a prisoner whenever he made television appearances from his little box of a room. In Santa Barbara, Bob Smith, a highly qualified and likeable Republican who perhaps tried a little too hard to hide that fact, was soundly defeated by incumbent Democrat congressman Salud Carbajal in a 66% to 34% wipeout.
You can thank your local media for making this a reality, as over 90% of all the stories printed and/or covered in media outlets about the president, his administration, or his plans, were and have been negative, which prepared the political soil for the growth of the resentment votes to follow.
There may be as many as nine new Senate seats for Democrats.
In Alaska, the duplicitous, unprincipled, corrupt, and deceitful campaign of Democrat Mary Peltola had so far produced its desired result. She had 102,962 votes as of Thursday morning, 5 November, while Dan S. Sullivan, the incumbent U.S. Senator, had 102,325. The Peltola campaign-induced candidate Daniel J. Sullivan Jr., garnered over 3,600 votes so far with about 75% of the total votes counted, leaving mostly mail-in and rural ballots left to be counted. The likelihood will be a run-off, and luckily the Peltola campaign shenanigans were outed buy none other than The New York Times, which will make it improbable that she’ll win a run-off.
Democrats will now have perhaps as much as a 60 House-seat advantage.
And they’ve added five more governorships…
Sure, we thought President Trump was going to continue to pursue his winning agenda after helping guide the Big Beautiful Tax Cut Bill through by the end of the summer of 2025.
As far as reducing inflation “on day one?” Well, “day one” became “day whatever” and got lost in the everyday melee that was Washington, D.C.
Then, President Trump and Mr. Netanyahu seized upon the idea of obliterating Iran’s military forces.
And they did it in what was introduced as a “six-to-eight-week campaign” against the evil Iranian regime. That was nine months ago and counting. It all sucks big time; my only hope is that those voters who decided that what the U.S. needs is a Democrat majority are also caught up in the downward-spiraling stock market.
Democrat Non-Strategy
Naturally, Democrats, their useful idiots in the mainstream media, would-be socialists, communists, and all the rest of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) types pounced on the inflation inaction front, promising elusive methods of dealing with the issue of “affordability.” It’s a subject they’re intimately familiar with because if anything, Democrats are expert in creating inflationary conditions, especially when it comes to governmental inflation.
But they have no way of addressing a problem they themselves created. And now, it doesn’t matter at all.
They won.
Reasons to Worry
Here are just some of the positions taken by victors in this year’s mid-term blow-out:
In New York, Representative-elect Claire Valdez promises to abolish ICE and to introduce universal rent control.
In Pennsylvania, Representative-elect Chris Rabb promoted universal basic income. If you’re old enough, you’ll remember the standing joke when the Soviet Union was in its prime: “We pretend to work,” the ordinary Soviet citizen would say, before adding, “And they pretend to pay us.”
Passage of a universal basic income will spell the end of the U.S.A. as we’ve known it, and will destroy the U.S. dollar.
The socialists’ influence extends beyond DSA-endorsed candidates. In Michigan, radical Muslim Democrat Senator-elect Abdul El-Sayed easily defeated Republican Mike Rogers by campaigning for “Medicare for All” and opposing military assistance to Israel. Frankly, Senator-elect El-Sayed opposes Israel’s very existence.
The DSA’s program includes the abolition of police and prisons, ending all military and economic aid to Israel, and replacing the two-party system.
Democrat Gina Hinojosa took out the very capable and effective Republican incumbent Texas Governor Greg Abbott. It was a shellacking for the Texas GOP right down the ticket, with Democrats taking both chambers of the state legislature.
If Republicans can’t take Texas back, the Dems will drop their plans to do away with the Electoral College and there will never be another Republican president.
Kansas will have a Democrat senator for the first time since the Great Depression. Not to mention other wins in Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, Michigan, Iowa, and Maine.
If we’re lucky, Republicans may have a chance of rebuilding a slim majority in the Senate by… 2032 if they can recoup what they lost in’26, but voters tend to like their incumbents, so there is no guarantee that will happen.
In the meantime, there is no chance of seating a conservative Supreme Court Justice for the next decade. And that’s regardless of whether Democrats stack the court with four or more Justices, or even if we find ourselves with a President Rubio or Vance. Their nominees won’t be approved by a Democrat Senate. The final “acceptable” Supreme Court nominee (when a position comes available) will likely join the three liberal ladies that already vote in lock-step harmony with every decision that comes their way.

I’m usually an optimist, but this situation may be irreversible, especially since Democrats, who have such a lock on our electoral system, aren’t about to consider any changes, such as voter ID, that may in any way benefit their opposition or reduce their advantage.
Good-by democracy; hello dictatorship.
More Tomorrow
We’ll have more on the fallout of this horrible election season in tomorrow’s issue.
Join us, beginning at 6:30 am on the California coast; 9:30 am on the East Coast.

Such an uplifting update. Sigh.
Just when I thought I couldn’t get any more depressed about the future of America, I have found the abyss is deeper than I could have imagined.
