A friend of mine married a Russian woman, (she was already living in the U.S; so not a mail-order bride), about 10 years ago. They now split their time living in Sochi, Russia and their home in the U.S., affording their young son two cultures and two languages. He likens Sochi to being a lot like Santa Barbara, being on the ocean. He sends me videos taken as he walks around in town and by the waterfront. There are no crazies, homeless or drug addicts on the streets. He says children can safely walk to school without the parents worrying about them being kidnapped or harmed. I'm no fan of Russia, but apparently they are doing some things right for their citizenry.
A focus by our politicians on clearing our streets of the homeless and drug addicts, while making it safe for our children to be out and about, would be welcome.
Exactly what needs to be bleeding heart liberals have bought California so far down it's a shame they give out needles and release criminals out no matter how serious the crime I'm with you sack them all and bring back the Death Penalty

This is perhaps a “tell” that you guys cater more about fantasy than reality. IE Trump won 2020, fake election. Trump is making America great again. I love fantasy, but I save it for recreation.
A couple of female friends who lived there - in nice houses - moved out, "didn't feel safe". They both moved to Newport Beach, feel safe there. Also various things I've read from local newspapers in the area. I think it is okay for Nazi Maga Surfers, but young women ???

If you cannot get drugs, the problem is solved. Meanwhile there are gov. agencies that hand out drug for these very same people.
