So many problems with our voting system. Here’s just one: I lived in a large apartment house in LA. There was one central rack of mailboxes in a hallway off the lobby. The postman would throw any undeliverable mail in a large tray underneath. It was always full of mail-in ballots at election time. Any dishonest person could pick up an armload and mail them in. Mail in voting is fraught with fraud opportunities.

Until recently, I served as a poll worker. We were not permitted to ask for identification. But always, some voters would approach us with their driver's license already out. They'd get upset even when we told them to put the ID away. And I have to add, whenever a store clerk asks to see my ID, I will reply with a thank you.
I have read reports that Spencer Pratt was the victim of vote harvesting from homeless in downtown Los Angeles. Legal vote harvesting is legal cheating and the harvesters get paid for this. According to reports, harvestes (is that a word?) were also paid or bribed with a pack of Kool cigarettes.

If you are so confident there is no election fraud, then why don't you agree to the simple fact that requiring Voter ID will not affect the elections? Controlled Location: Cast votes at the police department—overseen by law enforcement rather than City Hall with volunteers—to maintain a secure environment.
Instant Verification: Automatically send an email and text confirmation detailing who you voted for.

Volunteers give their time and service with little or no pay and work most of the day. For an election to be rigged, there would have to be millions of fraudulent votes, not just a few hundred or a couple of thousand. Anyway, voting this way, under law enforcement at the police station. Makes it sound like a dictatorship.

Mail-In Ballots: Ballots handled outside of polling places lack direct supervision, and part of the argument is that signature checks are not always thorough. For example: voters drop ballots straight into a secure box without showing ID, and volunteers cannot retrieve them to check.
Ballot Transit: Moving ballots across multiple locations creates risks of them being lost, duplicated, or subject to stuffing.
Voter Registration: Outdated rolls containing people who have moved or passed away can result in active ballots still being mailed to old addresses.
You're viewing it as a dictatorship, when in fact it's quite the opposite. Police stations or shared public buildings are just standard infrastructure, they don't force anyone how to vote.
Try looking at a different perspective of upholding the integrity of the voting process. We need to maintain the free and fair elections process in a more secure way.
I forgot to mention, what about people with disabilities, mobility problems, or no transportation, are they just gonna be SOL and not vote. Again, if ballots are lost, duplicated or stuffed, it would be immediately noticeable, because the votes would be off by millions whether too many or not enough.
The DMV already has accommodations in place to arrange specialized assistance for physical disabilities or homebound. The DMV already has thumbprint recognition in place for identification as well as a police department for Live Scan. Regardless, you still have to go through the DMV for your voting options.
For other accommodations, a secure mobile voting or curbside law enforcement Check-Ins for voters is another option.
Whichever option you choose, you're still going to have that verifiable digital paper trail. This will also assist in knowing if someone is using your identity.
Now I know you're going to mention somebody who is disabled that possibly does not have limbs, there's face recognition.

Going back to ballot stuffing, missing, or voting discrepancies.... There have been multiple videos showing ballots have been thrown in dumpsters or left in storage units. Here lies another reason why some volunteers in some communities cannot be trusted. They go off of their emotions rather than fact. Also, voting machines are unreliable due to volunteer poll worker access.
Think of it this way. Imagine a teacher who leaves the classroom completely unsupervised during a test and only counts the pile of finished papers when the bell rings. Even though the teacher will notice right away if papers are missing or if extra ones were slipped in, the vulnerability persists because cheating happens silently while everyone is working, and the teacher can't catch it until it's too late. It shows how relying only on the final count lets errors or cheating happen quietly in the background without raising a red flag in real time.
Well, this is a conundrum. If the perpetually rigged california elections have NOT been fixed ie illegals voting, democrat antics (ballot stuffing, harvesting, pay to play, shredding, dumping, hiding, copying etc) then how will this voter ID proposition pass? Everyone likes to say that ID is required to buy alcohol, to make a return at Walmart, etc. But what is being pushed by this administration is not merely taking out your drivers license or your student ID, rather It is requiring that you show up to the polling place with proof of citizenship, which means a birth certificate that matches your current name– a problem for many who for example are married and have taken their husband’s surname – or a passport which currently only 50% of Americans have. The cost to acquire either of these documents puts a burden on citizens that amounts to a pole tax, which is prohibited by the US Constitution.
Decades of research on voter fraud has proven conclusively that the instances of illegal voting are statistically irrelevant And could not have changed the results of an election; check out the decades long research by the right wing Heritage Foundation on this very subject.
Even if “somebody” collected ballots in an apartment dropbox, the fraudulent signatures that “somebody” would put on them would not match their intended recipients signatures; Ballot curing is done by both Republican and democrat volunteers verifying those signatures after elections in California. The large number of voters in California and California’s requirement that their ballots do not begin getting counted until the day of the election result in a multi-week process in tight races before results can be called. That speaks to the integrity of California’s elections, not their fraudulent nature.
