Like everything, CEQA is a bit of good and a bit of bad. Probably more bad than good but I support CEQA when it forstalls solar energy projects, ultra dense housing, more bike lanes, windmills and other projects that spend billions to lower the quality of life in California. I fear that expedited approval of foolish projects will have the additional consequence of shifting resources and budgets away from more important projects with real rather than imagined benefit for Californians. I will be voting no on 45.
Interesting discussion and it looks like Prop 45 is a yes. Isn’t it interesting how often Republicans always refer back to Obama/Biden by topic? During the Obama/Biden years, detention facilities had open oversight….and there were no deaths at those facilities as we are seeing now, where immigrants are denied medication.
We also did not see 87 year old women being deported as will happen this week, or immigrant children under 5 years old standing before a judge (!) with no legal representation…because conveniently there are not enough immigration attorneys available. How can that be defended?
Wouldn't it have been nice or better if Biden did hot open the borders to 10 million un-vetted illegal aliens? It is as if you set fire to a building then complain that the firemen got your cat wet.

For starters…the bigoted/racist comments from Trump that they all criminals “but some are very nice people” sounded great…but in reality even a parking ticket by an immigrant classifies them as a “Criminal” but only 5% of immigrants deported had criminal records.
However now that ICE has decided to use electrified gloves to subdue immigrants, does that sound like a good idea to you?

In fact every illegal immigrant is by definition a criminal. Your number of 5% deportees having criminal records does not jive with anything I can corroborate. Where did you get this number and what is the definition of criminal record?

If that’s true, it’s terrible. ICE should not be in local jurisdictions. Local police and sheriffs who know our towns SHOULD be executing warrants for ALL criminals - citizens and not. If the criminal aliens were deported, support for ICE would disappear overnight.
In the past we have voted for special purpose propositions that have passed and very soon afterwards the state legislature has voted to take those funds and put them into the General Fund so that they can spend that money on whatever they want. The Gasoline Tax increase proposition from several cycles ago is a good example of that. That money was supposed to be used for improving our roads. I don’t trust the Democrat Super Majority of this state. They lie, cheat, and steal our money. 🤮
Are you insane? You list so many negatives, and ignore the causes and people who created the mess. California isn’t broke - it’s been run into the ground by bureaucracies, diversion of adequate funds to unsupported projects, and plain fraud. Why in the world would we vote to feed the monster?!?

So glad I moved to Florida in January where our utility rates are very low and our roads are beautiful
