During the Clinton-Obama-Biden administrations when someone their AG's agreed with would bring a law suit the AG's would sign a consent agreement that would be enforceable even if the underlying law suit was a loser. An example is the "hold and release" immigration ploy that Clinton's AG made enforceable through a consent agreement.

I will vote for Miachael Gates, but for there to be real change, the California Republican Party has to shed its image and become a party focused on California. Its priorities must be on actively promising and delivering solutions and improvements to the issues and improvements in California life that voters are pining for. California is larger in size, in population and GDP than many independent countries. For the California Republican party to win over the majority of voters, it must be objectively California focused. There is a way to bring that about, but it will take several years of change to accomplish it. The election of Michael Gates could be a step in that direction, but he must be given all the tools necessary to get elected by the existing Republican Party.
I will vote GOP for sure. Across the board. California's future depends on changing the party in control of this state and reversing all the bad legislation. It would take many years of republican control to fix it. Me thinks the state really needs to get to bankruptcy, necessitating the suspension of all these free money, food, medical. Then people will vote the other way.
